HMV Hammersmith Apollo

Salle de concert | Cap. 5039p

HMV Hammersmith Apollo is a concert hall in the Hammersmith district of London, UK. Opened in 1932, it is one of the most famous concert halls in the world. It is generally known as the Eventim Apollo, or its former name of Hammersmith Odeon. The building was acquired in 2007 by the British company MAMA Group, and renamed HMV Hammersmith Apollo on January 14, 2009. Robert Cromie designed and decorated the building in the Art Deco style of the 1930s.

Numerous groups and artists have performed here, particularly since the 1960s, when the venue began to gain real recognition. In particular, it is often chosen for recording concerts (e.g. Alchemy by Dire Straits).
