Edward Lodewijk van Halen, known as Eddie Van Halen, born January 26, 1955 in Amsterdam (Netherlands) and died October 6, 2020 in Santa Monica in the United States, is an American-Dutch guitarist.
With his older brother Alex Van Halen, he founded the hard rock band Van Halen. He is the father of bassist Wolfgang Van Halen, who is part of the group since 2006.
