Ralph Saenz born in Van Nuys, California, better known as Michael Starr, is the frontman of the glam metal band Steel Panther.
Starr was the lead singer of the Van Halen tribute band (David Lee Roth era), named Atomic Punks between 1994 and 2008. Starr was also briefly the lead singer of the Los Angeles band L.A. Guns, on the EP Wasted.
Finally he played a small role in the movie Rock Star, with Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Aniston. With his current band, Steel Panther, Michael Starr has released 5 albums: Feel the Steel in 2009, Balls Out in 2011, All You Can Eat in 2014, Lower The Bar in 2017 and Heavy Metal Rules in 2019. In October 2012, the band released a DVD titled "The British Invasion" featuring their concert in England as well as their great talent, both technical and to electrify crowds.
