Simone is a Dutch vocalist and songwriter who has been a member of symphonic metal band Epica since 2002 when she was only seventeen. Since then, she performed on other artists' works such as Kamelot, Ayreon, MaYaN, Leaves' Eyes and Apocalyptica.
In 2024, the singer announced the release of her first solo album Vermillion which was co-written by Ayreon's Arjen Lucassen.
