Daniel (John) Erlandsson (born May 22, 1976 in Malmö, Sweden) is the drummer of the death metal band Arch Enemy. He also played with other bands like Carcass, Eucharist (en), Liers In Wait (en), Diabolique (en), Armageddon (en) (with Christopher Amott of Arch Enemy). He is known for his great skill with the double pedal and his stick playing which requires great precision and agility. Daniel Erlandsson is the younger brother of Adrian Erlandsson, former drummer of Cradle of Filth and Paradise Lost. On Arch Enemy's official website, Daniel states that he was very influenced by drummers such as Billy Cobham, Clive Burr, Vinny Appice, Dave Lombardo, Scott Travis.
Daniel says on the same website that he started playing drums a few years after his brother, on a small kit in their parents' garage.
